Video-on-demand deal inked with Cinema Guild
By JOHN CLARKE JR.
Eurocinema and the Cinema Guild signed exclusive video-on-demand deal Tuesday that will
bring Eurocinema's library of theatrical releases to the U.S. starting in spring. Larry
Namer, EuroMedia Holdings Corp. owner and operator of Eurocinema, made the announcement
Tuesday.
"There is a growing audience for quality foreign cinema in North America and it is
wonderful to see that it is finally being served by Eurocinema," said Ryan Krivoshey,
director of distribution for the Cinema Guild.
Under the new deal, each film featured on the channel will be broadcast in a two-hour
hosted block with additional content such as host commentary, original documentaries,
director interviews, as well as relevant short-format films.
Eurocinema reaches more than 15 million homes.
