Eurocinema, the first and only branded on-demand video service featuring award-winning European theatrical films, reached a major industry milestone hitting the 10 million subscriber mark this summer, making the service available in major city centers throughout North America.

Since launching in Fall 2005, Eurocinema can now be found in over 150 markets across the U.S. on Charter, Time Warner, Mediacom, Bresnan Communications, Buckeye Communications, and Atlantic Broadband, as well as on Shaw Communications and Rogers Communications in Canada.

Eurocinema explores "Crimes of Passion" this summer/fall with the debut of "Souli," the Grand Prix 2005 Paris Film Festival Winner. Directed by Alexander Abela and starring Eduardo Noriega who played the title role in the 2005 feature "Che Guevara," “Souli” is set in Madagascar and is a modern day rendition of the classic story of "Othello." "Souli" is complemented by the award-winning 1999 Serbo-Croatian short "Hop, Skip and Jump."

Also new is "Tirana Year Zero," winner of three international film awards including the Thessalonika and Cologne Film Festivals. The Albanian/German co-production was written and directed by Fatmir Koci, stars Nevin Macaj and Ermela Teli, and also features a brilliant performance by Lars Rudolph ("Run Lola Run" "Buffalo Soldiers") The film tells the story of a young couple in post-Communist Albania at a time when many citizens left the country in search for a better life abroad.

The animated French short "At the Ends of the Earth" accompanies the feature in a themed-block titled "Communism for Non-Majors." This film has won 15 international film awards including Aspen, Chicago and Ottawa, as well as the Cesar Award in France for Best Animated Short.
